Our client is European based and is looking for a DevOps Engineer AZURE for Aviation sector

​Role

In this role you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure and tools needed for the continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) of the organization’s platform.  This role involves working closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure efficient, reliable, and secure deployment and management of applications and services.​​​​

​

  • You will be a member of a dynamic team to design and implement a platform for mission critical applications;

  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates;

  • Automate the provisioning and management of cloud infrastructure, ensuring consistency and repeatability;

  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment of applications and services;

  • Integrate automated testing and quality assurance processes into the CI/CD pipelines to ensure high code quality and rapid delivery;

  • Implement and manage configuration management solutions to ensure that applications and infrastructure are configured consistently and securely;

  • Maintain and update configuration management documentation and procedures;

  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions to provide visibility into the performance, reliability, and security of applications and infrastructure;

  • Use tools such as ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Prometheus, Grafana, and Azure Monitor to set up monitoring and logging;

  • Work closely with development, operations, and security teams to support the deployment and operation of applications and services;

  • Provide technical guidance and support to development and operations teams on DevOps best practices and tools;

  • Ensure that infrastructure and applications are designed and implemented for high performance, scalability, and reliability;

  • Implement auto-scaling and load balancing solutions to handle varying workloads;

  • Ensure that security best practices are integrated into all aspects of the CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and applications;

  • Collaborate with the security team to implement security controls, such as secrets management, encryption, and access controls;

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and configuration management processes.

Skills / Requirements

​

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in DevOps or a related role;

  • Proven experience in designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines and automation solutions;

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Azure, and related services;

  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and ARM templates;

  • Experience with CI/CD tools (such as Jenkins, Argo CD or Azure DevOps), Git, Artifact management (such as Nexus Sonatype);

  • Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes;

  • Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools, such as ELK Stack, OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, Grafana, and Azure Monitor;

  • Familiarity with scripting languages, such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell;

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills;

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Proactive and self-motivated with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.

  • Relevant DevOps and cloud-related certifications, such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or equivalent, are preferred.
